Interim Update after the steering bearing Failure

After my first race report, I received notification from Harry at SCI the
Sirius would be sending me a fresh set of bearings ASAP. Great support
there, Thanks Harry and Martin.

When the bearings arrived, I jacked up the bike and suspended it mid air.
Removing the upper triple tree and bearing nut, I found a most interesting
scene. Looking and searching in disbelief, I could find no sign of grease,
nowhere in the bearings, race, nor the steering stem.

After the 2007 hurricane Berry race at Roebling Road Raceway, Savannah
Georgia, all of the manufacture’s oil applied in the assembly process had
been washed away. Six or seven race weekends later, they seized up on me at
Talladega to start the season off at a rudimentary pace.
